Jaecoo was the most searched Chinese car brand in the UK in 2025, according to Google UK’s Year in Search data, indicating growing public interest in the relatively new entrant to the British automotive market.

Google’s annual report tracks search terms that recorded the fastest growth over the year. “JAECOO cars” ranked third among the UK’s top 10 trending car-related searches in 2025, placing it alongside established European and Korean brands and ahead of several long-standing manufacturers.

The increase in online searches has coincided with a growing market footprint. Data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) shows that Jaecoo accounted for 3.39 percent of the UK new car market in November. The brand currently operates through 91 retail outlets across the country.

As part of the Omoda & Jaecoo brand group, Jaecoo has recorded more than 26,000 registrations of the Jaecoo 7 SUV since its launch. SMMT figures also indicate that the Jaecoo 7 was the UK’s best-selling Chinese-branded vehicle in October.

Earlier this year, Jaecoo expanded its portfolio with the introduction of the Jaecoo 5 (J5 in Nepal), its first fully electric model. The compact SUV is offered with both internal combustion and electric powertrain options.

Jaecoo is also present in the Nepalese market, where its current lineup includes the Jaecoo J5 and the Jaecoo J6 off-road SUV.
